OUR HISTORY
Background History
Blue Tech Field Instrumentation Services Ltd was born out of a shared realization: that technical brilliance alone is not enough — what the industry needs is dependable execution, professional integrity, and sustainable partnerships. In 2024, two engineers — seasoned by decades of hands-on experience — joined forces to create a company that could deliver instrumentation, automation, and electrical solutions to the oil and gas sector with military-grade precision and world-class professionalism. Both founders had led and participated in numerous high-risk field operations, witnessing the frequent disconnect between planning and delivery, cost and quality, urgency and safety.
The company was officially incorporated under the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, with headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State — the heart of Nigeria’s energy ecosystem. Blue Tech’s services were quickly distinguished by their technical depth, clean documentation, and compliance-first approach. Clients appreciated the responsiveness, the field presence of leadership, and the attention to detail in every installation. One of Blue Tech’s earliest accomplishments was the successful completion of the Seplat Ohaji ATEX Equipment Installation in Imo State — a project that required compliance with strict hazardous area standards, equipment integrity protocols, and real-time site decision-making. This marked the company’s entry into the radar of major industry players and became the launchpad for future growth.
Over time, Blue Tech expanded its service offering to include: • Supply of Instrumentation and Electrical Equipment • Installation and Calibration of Field Instruments • Maintenance and Validation of Industrial Control Systems • Technical Documentation, ITT Response & Contract Execution With each new contract, the company deepened its client relationships, invested in workforce training, and refined its safety and quality control systems. Through consistent delivery and a hands-on leadership style, Blue Tech quickly grew into a trusted vendor for mission-critical field support in both onshore and offshore environments. Today, Blue Tech Field Instrumentation Services Ltd continues to pursue its founding vision — to become a preferred instrumentation and electrical services partner in West Africa. As automation, energy transition, and smart technologies reshape the future, Blue Tech remains focused on equipping its team, evolving its capabilities, and delivering results that inspire confidence. From two engineers with a blueprint and a dream to a growing team powering projects across Nigeria — this is our story. The journey continues.
